Adult Group Therapy
Service Description
I offer a structured, trauma-informed Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills group for adults seeking support with emotional regulation, distress tolerance, relationship challenges, and trauma-related symptoms. This group combines evidence-based DBT skills with creative activities to encourage insight, grounding, and practical skill development. Group Focus Areas: Trauma-Informed Support: Builds emotional stability and coping skills through a supportive, safety-centered approach. Mindfulness with Art: Uses mindful drawing, color-based grounding, and sensory activities to strengthen present-moment awareness. Distress Tolerance: Develops personalized coping tools to navigate crises, urges, and overwhelming emotions. Emotion Regulation: Uses creative exercises to identify feelings, recognize patterns, and practice self-soothing. Interpersonal Effectiveness: Builds communication, boundary-setting, and relationship skills. Group Support & Accountability: Encourages shared learning, skills practice, and progress toward personal goals. Person-Centered Care: Respects each member's identity, lived experience, strengths, and goals. Who This Group Is For: Adults seeking healthier ways to manage emotions, trauma-related symptoms, impulsive behaviors, chronic stress, or relationship difficulties. No previous DBT or art experience is required. The goal is to help members build practical skills and apply them to everyday life.
